Win With V-PowerWeb Development
Win with V-Power was proposed as a POS campaign encouraging customers to trial Shell's premium fuel product. The 6 week campaign offered those making a purchase a chance to win weekly prizes by entering their fuel docket number into the campaign website.
Technically this project consisted of only minor hurdles, as the focus was on allowing customers to enter the competition with as little impediment as possible. Nextstudio offered recommendations to both streamline the entry process and in turn minimize development (and re-development) investment. As per the usual Nextstudio approach agency staff were provided with tools to manage the daily aspects of the competiton, such as prize draws and customer service enquiries, in an autonomous fashion.
The promotion was incredibly successful for the client, being credited with a 20% nationwide sales increase for the 6 week duration with minimal supporting media.
Nextstudio was responsible primarily for development and layout of the site, but also offered advice and consultation on designing the promotion mechanism in such a way as to encourage easy interaction with the site by casual visitors. In addition Nextstudio provided and managed a hosting environment for the project, with suitable scaling options available when the audience was deemed to be nearly a full order of magnitude higher than originally predicted.
Following the success of the competition's initial run the system has been ported for several similar V-Power promotions within Australia and New Zealand.
